OUF Guild History

The Order of the Unifying Force was founded many millennia ago, some passing of time after the Galactic Republic was formed. Its founding members were long forgotten due to the turbulent years of the Order – its members forced into hiding or wiped out completely. All that is known of them is that they were once powerful Jedi that became disillusioned by the Jedi teachings, especially regarding the Force.

Initially their small numbers banded together and set out to search the universe for the true nature of the Force. They were not heard from for many years until the second half of the Hundred-Year Darkness, and their timing could not have been more critical. The Dark Jedi had pooled all their resources and created the most fearsome creatures ever seen, such as the Leviathan. Armies fled in terror from the Leviathan which had the ability to suck life essences into the blister-traps upon their backs. The Jedi could not combat these monsters with their restricted knowledge of the Force. It was only by means of the ex-Jedi and thru the knowledge they had gained in their search for truth that allowed the Jedi to push back the Dark Jedi, and eventually defeat them in the Battle of Corbos in 6,900 BBY.

Since the end of the Hundred-Year Darkness the Jedi Order and the newly formed Order of the Unifying Force had an unsteady alliance. The Jedi would call upon the Order when it needed power beyond their own abilities to defeat its enemies.

Many times throughout its history though, the Jedi Order would cut all ties with the followers of the Unifying Force, declaring them enemies and hunting them down, claiming that it was the duty of the Jedi to use the Force to protect others, not study its absolute limits, and that doing so would lead to the dark side.

During the Jedi Civil War, Republic Admiral Carth Onasi was heard saying "The Force can do terrible things to a mind, it can destroy your thoughts and strip away your very identity". In that statement he is talking about invading a person’s mind and removing everything that made them who they were. What he doesn't say is then the Force can implant a new identity, one with whatever morals and loyalties you want the subject to have – this is nothing more than a mental rape. Think about this statement, does it sound like something a lightside Jedi would do. It may have the outcome of restoring a shattered mind as was the case of Revan but how could a lightside Jedi reconcile the method within himself even for the possibility of redeeming Revan. In this case the Jedi did not even have that, as their goal was to restore the memories so Revan could lead them to knowledge enough to destroy Malak and his fleet, not exactly a lofty ideal.

This ability requires darkside technique to destroy or hide any and all semblance of self from the subject and lightside technique to heal the mind and impart another personality hence it could not be done by a Jedi or a Sith. It could only be done by us. The Jedi Council contacted Supreme Commander Mrieal Na’al for this service and she dispatched Grand Inquisitor Jerec Koth to perform it. The Order was instrumental in ending the Jedi Civil War and in the redemption of Revan which took both the Light and the Dark to accomplish.

Now cast your thoughts forward to the time the Exile returned to face what was left of the Jedi Council for the second time. Our investigations have shown that the judgment of the Council in this second meeting was a continuation of the exile imposed and they also had intended to "strip the force" from her. Again the Order was requested to perform this service but the Council never showed up at the meeting spot, hardly surprising as we know now that Darth Traya in the persona of Kreia did to them as they wanted us to do to the Exile, however she took it a step further obliterating all connection they had to the Force and killing them in the process.

When the Jedi Council had been restored it was determined to forget its past reliance on the followers of the Unifying Force, thus as they had done before, they turned on the Order hiring bounty hunters and criminal organisations to obliterate them and their beliefs. Few members of the Order survived, but among those that did escape was the existing Supreme Commander Mrieal Na’al. Through trader connections Mrieal managed to hide from those pursuing the Order until the pursuits eased, and finally ceased. Mrieal eventually returned to her home planet of Ithor where she was a shadow amongst her race, and the Order of the Unifying Force was lost. Over 250 years passed and the Order had been forgotten. But the Unifying Force can never die, and its power flowed freely thru the bloodline of Mrieal Na’al down to Dakhan.

Since his youth Dakhan Na’al was trained as a Jedi, and became a notable warrior during the Great War. His successes eventually led to him being assigned to reinforce Caarimon in the Outer Rim Territories from Sith invasion. This brought him closer to the Unifying Force than he had ever been before. While in a vigorous duel on Caarimon against the young Nautolan Sith Ayntinnus Otahkk, Dakhan stumbled upon an old temple that was once a training facility for the Order of the Unifying Force. Inside the temple both Jedi and Sith learned the true power and nature of the Force. Putting aside their differences Dakhan and Ayntinnus became united by the Unifying Force and vowed to restore the Order to its former strength. Together they travelled the galaxy to search out and recruit Jedi and Sith of like-mind. Among the most powerful of these were Ando Silverstar and Quinlan Sa’athis.

With the Unifying Force as his guide and strength, Supreme Commander Dakhan Na’al appointed Ayntinnus Otahkk as Military Executor, Ando Silverstar as Procurator of Justice and Quinlan Sa’athis as Grand Inquisitor. The newly restored Order of the Unifying Force continues to grow and thrive and expand throughout the galaxy, unifying the light and the dark.

This is who we are.

We are the Light.

We are the Dark.

We are the Order of the Unifying Force.
